How to Beat the Heat!

What is everyone doing this summer? How are you getting out of the heat? And if you are unable to get out of the heat, how are you coping with it?
People in the States are apparently having a hard time dealing with a heat wave, at least that is what the majority of the media is reporting. From what I've heard from family members and friends, it's hot, but not as bad as the media is reporting it to be. It sounds like the ones complaining the most about the heat are those in the media and not the public. The public seems to be coping quite well with the high temperatures.

So let's hear how things are going around the world and here in Japan.
